Some features of Ink & Echo cost credits, which you can buy outright or receive each month with a membership. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work. It should be read together with section 8 (Credits, purchases and billing) of our Terms of Service. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe.
A membership renews automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; your membership then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that. Unless the law requires otherwise, we do not give partial refunds for the remainder of a period you have started.
Credits let you create things such as adventures, worlds, characters, and music. We show the cost of an action before you spend. Once credits have been spent on generating content they are used up and are not refundable, except where the law gives you a refund right. If you cancel a membership, credits already in your balance remain available to use under these terms.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content or services. However, where you ask us to start providing that content immediately — for example by spending credits or beginning a membership straight away — you may lose that cancellation right once delivery has begun, and you acknowledge this when you buy. Nothing in this policy affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
To cancel a membership, use the Billing page. To ask about a refund, email us at support@inkecho.world with your account email and the details of the purchase. Where we agree a refund, we make it to your original payment method through Stripe, and it may take a few days to appear depending on your bank or card provider.
If you think you have been charged in error, or a paid feature did not work as it should, please contact us and we will look into it and put right anything that has genuinely gone wrong.
Prices and the cost of individual actions may change over time. Where a change affects a membership you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue.
We may update this policy. If we make a material change we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
