Safety & Crisis Support

1. If you need help now

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out — you deserve support, and help is available right now.

Immediate danger: call your local emergency number — 999 in the UK, 911 in the US.

Samaritans (UK & Ireland): call 116 123, free, any time, day or night — or email jo@samaritans.org.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US): call or text 988, available 24/7.

Anywhere else: findahelpline.com lists free, confidential helplines by country.

2. A game, not a crisis service

Ink & Echo is a storytelling game. Its characters and stories are AI-generated fiction — not real people, and not a source of advice or support. If something in a story brings up difficult feelings, please step away and talk to someone you trust or one of the services above.

3. Self-harm and suicide content

We do not allow content that encourages, instructs in, or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders — whether written by a player or generated by the AI. Our Content & Safety Policy sets out the full rules. If you come across something like this, please report it; we treat safety reports as a priority.

4. Looking after yourself while you play

Stories can go to dark or intense places, and you are always in control of yours — you can steer it somewhere else, start something new, or take a break whenever you need to. Play in a way that feels good for you.

5. Telling us about a concern

If you are worried about your own safety or someone else’s, or you have seen content that breaks our rules, contact us at support@inkecho.world or use the report option on shared content. If someone is in immediate danger, please contact the emergency services first.
